the caps are printed. ignore them. six paints, all of them light.one law above the list: brightness is urgency. muted is standing by, saturated is shouting. tap a pot to raise its volume. and arrival pulses once, then holds: what shouts is age, never novelty.
under all six sits the primer: an idle key holds a white whisper instead of going dark, because dead black through printed caps reads as a switched-off numpad. picked from a five-candidate audition on the real board.

the no key is deliberate friction: one rejection fails every pending request in that agent's session, so one fat finger cannot kill a batch of decisions. press 3 twice and you'll see. a real numpad works too.

- why do the caps still say 7 8 9?
- because the only transparent caps i own came with numbers printed on them. the light outvotes the ink, and blank transparent caps are being hunted as we speak. hold the mode key two seconds and it's a numpad again — the only mode where the print tells the truth.
